Defibrillator for Catterall
You will have noticed the work completed by our Lengthsman Tim and his Pilling colleague Graham at the junction of Garstang Road and Cock Robin Lane.
A new defibrillator has been installed and is ready for use when needed.
You must ring 999 and ask for an ambulance;when you will be directed to your nearest defibrillator if the emergency services believe that one would help the patient.
You will be given a key code to open the defibrillator case door.
Remove the defibrillator and take it to the casualty; open to use and a personal message will talk you through the process and don't panic!
It may just keep the patient alive until the paramedics arrive.
Many thanks to everyone who has helped in raising the money for this vital asset for the village.
It is much appreciated.
